As popular as these shotguns are and as popular as the mods are I would have thought someone would have solved the slide release issue by now.Ĭan you use Mossberg parts? I hear the Maverick is a 'off brand' of them.
I just did the mods this afternoon and found out I need to extend the release.ĭoes anyone happen to know of an OEM extender? I couldn't find anything on the web, which suprised me. I haven't taken it apart yet or even looked at a parts list to see how much trouble it will be. So I'm going to play with it a bit and either install a longer slide release or have a gunsmith do it. I have to twist my hand to actually reach it, which means moving the weapon out of position. The only thing I don't like is the slide release is on the left side behind the trigger guard and just a smidge too far for my thumb to reach. I ended up with a collapsible stock with extra shell holders, barrel heat shield, ghost sights and a weaver attachment near the end of the magazine for a light or laser.
